Tethered Aerostat Intelligence System

Aerostats are perfect for carrying Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment for a multitude of operations such as force protection, oil field and border security, maritime patrol, peacekeeping and crowd control.

Aerostats can be deployed at altitudes from 100m to 7000m and from the arctic to the desert.

Lindstrand is one of the few companies in the world that has designed, manufactured, and installed Tethered Aerostat Intelligence System worldwide.

Parachute Training Balloon

Parachute training balloon is a cost-effective substitute for automatically parachute training using airplanes.

Lindstrand developed a unique solution enables automatic parachute training at 1,200 feet height taking up to 16 paratroopers per round.

The PTB offers low through life costs, high reliability, simple operating procedures, and safety and quality standards to meet CS-31TGB.

Inflatable Structure

Lindstrand has manufactured inflatable hangars and shelters that have served with the Swedish Air Force, Royal Air Force and the US Navy and Marine Corps.

An inflatable hangar is a cost effective, flexible and portable solution for aircraft/vehicle storage and maintenance during field operations based on ship or land.

Inflatable hangars are great alternatives to conventional hangars in airports, as they normally do not require planning permission.

We have the capability to design and manufacture a comprehensive range of inflatable hangars and shelters.

Radomes

Stationary radars usually protected by a Radome improving and reducing maintenance costs.

Deployed radars do not use Radome protection due to setting up complexity, field conditions and operational environment.

We developed a unique solution allows a mobile Radome to be used in deployment. Setup time is short and simple (Team of 2).

The radome has successfully passed electromagnetic tests in radar range.

Hiflyer

The HiFlyer has been manufactured by Lindstrand Technologies Ltd since 1996 and has been installed in over 60 locations around the world.

It can accommodate up to 30 passengers in wind speeds up to 25 knots and offers excellent advertising potential.

With an average ride lasting 15 minutes, typical passenger throughput is 120 per hour. The record for a single day is 1,824 passengers.

Air ship

Air ships can be manned or unmanned and are always free flying.

They are much slower than aircraft but have greater persistence and lower through life costs.

The airship is an excellent surveillance vehicle for the police and military, being able to meet safety concerns for operations over stadiums and crowded areas while simultaneously carrying the latest surveillance and electronic warfare equipment.

They have also been widely used for scientific research such as earth mapping, diamond hunting and mine detecting.

Inflatable Structure

Lindstrand produces a standard range of inflatable structures such as hangars and shelters, storage and decontamination units as well as bespoke buildings and permanent roofs which are designed to the customer’s specific requirements.

Air cell structures are advanced constructions made with two layers of material with fabric formers in between.

They are self-supporting by means of air fans with no need for foundations, hardware or guy wires.

Air cell structures can be used in practically any environment and are ideally suited to both military and civilian applications

Hot Air Balloon

The Lindstrand name has been synonymous with ballooning since 1978, when Per Lindstrand founded his first company manufacturing hot air balloons.

Lindstrand design, manufacture and maintain hot air balloon envelopes, baskets, and burners.

We can supply kit as individual parts, or as a complete aircraft.

We offer six types of envelope within the Series 1, Series 2, Racer, and Series Special (18,000ft3 up tp 75,000ft3).
